Karl Panarello is a senior associate specialising in corporate law, corporate advisory, mergers and acquisitions, family office, water rights and intellectual property. With a strong focus on the Wine, Food and Beverage, and Agriculture sectors, Karl combines his expertise with a deep personal connection to these industries. Raised in Griffith, a hub for agriculture and winemaking, Karl developed a firsthand understanding of the challenges and opportunities within these fields.

Karl’s extensive experience includes:

• Providing corporate advice for a diverse range of clients, from small and medium enterprises to large multinational corporations across the wine, food and beverage, technology, and agriculture sectors.
• Advising on the sale and purchase of shares, assets and brands in the alcohol and agriculture sector, including managing negotiations, advising on structuring, conducting due diligence, drafting transaction documents, and assisting with completion.
• Advising on capital raising including share subscription agreements and shareholders’ agreements.
• Advising on water sales and purchasers.
• Advising on the refinance of banking facilities with both Australian and International financiers; and
• Advising large-scale property transactions involving institutional investors.

With a particular interest in the Water sector, Karl has built strong relationships with water authorities in NSW and SA, as well as regulators and key industry players in the wine and alcohol sectors. He is considered a thought leader within these industries having published multiple articles on topics within these sectors.
