The Stanton & Stanton team recently traded the office for the garden beds, volunteering at Pocket City Farms in Camperdown as part of the firm's ongoing commitment to community and sustainability.
Pocket City Farms is a not-for-profit urban farm and community hub. Run largely by volunteers, the farm grows and sells fresh produce through its not-for-profit produce shop while connecting people with regenerative farming practices and sustainable food systems.
The Stanton & Stanton team got their hands dirty, weeding community garden beds and potting new herbs and vegetables for the farm's produce shop, and gained valuable education on sustainable farming. It was a practical and grounding experience that offered a genuine opportunity to contribute to something beyond their everyday work.
"Getting our hands in the dirt together, knowing the effort directly supports fresh food access for the local community, was both rewarding and a pleasure to be part of," said Laura Quarrell, Principal at Stanton & Stanton.
As a Climate Active certified, carbon neutral firm and signatory to the UN Global Compact, Stanton & Stanton's community day at Pocket City Farms reflects the firm's values of respect for the environment, a commitment to meaningful action, and giving back to the community and environment.
